Christmas tree farms in eight states

Choose-and-cut Christmas tree farms by city, checked with each farm for 2026. Oregon grows more Christmas trees than any other state; Washington grows the noble and grand fir the rest of the country buys pre-cut; Michigan’s farms run from Grand Rapids to Ann Arbor; North Carolina grows the Fraser firs sold across the east coast; Virginia’s are in the Blue Ridge foothills and around Richmond; Pennsylvania grows nine species where the south grows one; New Jersey’s first farm opens in October; Texas farms mostly open around Thanksgiving. Dates are added as each farm posts them.

Coming next

Austin, San Antonio, Fort Worth and Dallas get pages of their own as each reaches three confirmed farms — their farms are on the Texas page meanwhile. Then more of North Carolina — Avery County, Raleigh and the Triangle.

How these are checked

Each farm’s own website is read in full, and the farm is contacted when something is missing. A 2026 date only appears once the farm itself has posted it; anything from last season is labelled as last year’s.
