Alamo Heights UMC is free every day from 10 October, and Winding Branch Ranch in Bulverde is free with a reserved ticket.

What’s the best pumpkin patch in San Antonio?

It depends what you want. For a big farm day with lots included, Devine Acres has more than 50 attractions and Country Grace Farms has its pink pumpkin patch. For the best value with a big family, Bulverde Pumpkin Patch is $30 a car for the whole month. For something small and free near downtown, go to Alamo Heights UMC, or Universal City for free with themed weekends and evening hayrides. And Pipe Creek is the cheapest paid patch at $9.

Is there a free pumpkin patch in San Antonio?

Yes, five. Universal City Pumpkin Patch (2–31 Oct, pets welcome), St. Margaret’s on Stahl Road (10–31 Oct, free Fall Festival on 24 Oct), Windcrest UMC (from 28 Sep), Alamo Heights UMC (from 10 Oct) and Winding Branch Ranch near Bulverde (free, but reserve a ticket). Where is the pumpkin patch in New Braunfels?

Sundrop Springs on Hueco Springs Loop Road is New Braunfels’ big fall festival, with a hayride, maze and evening scares, until 1 November. In the town centre, First United Methodist Church runs a pumpkin patch in its courtyard every day from 4 to 31 October. Country Grace Farms in Seguin is 25 minutes east.

Which Bulverde pumpkin patch should I choose?

There are two. Bulverde Pumpkin Patch on West Ammann Road is $30 a car with a hayride and games, and welcomes dogs. Winding Branch Ranch is free, at an animal sanctuary, but needs a reserved ticket and doesn’t allow pets.

Can I bring my dog?

Yes, at two. Universal City Pumpkin Patch welcomes well-behaved pets every day, and on “Wags” Wednesdays (7, 14 and 21 Oct) the volunteers put on extra animal activities. Bulverde Pumpkin Patch welcomes dogs too. Winding Branch Ranch and BellCreek Acres don’t allow pets, and the others don’t say, so ask first. Is there anything between San Antonio and Austin?

Uhland Fall Fest, near Kyle, is about 50 minutes up I-35, and Texas Pumpkin Fest in Leander is the big festival north of Austin. All the Austin-area patches are on our Austin page.
