Before you go
When is Texas Pumpkin Fest in 2026?
From Saturday 10 October to Sunday 1 November 2026. It’s open on Saturdays and Sundays only, plus two weekdays: Monday 12 October and Friday 30 October. Hours are 10am to 9pm every open day. The open days are 10–12, 17–18, 24–25 and 30–31 October and 1 November.
How much does it cost?
Entry is $15 per person, whether you buy online or at the gate. Children still in diapers get in free, and so do guests with special needs. The ticket covers the patch, the 135-foot super slide, the wrestling and magic shows and most rides. Pumpkins are extra, and some rides take tokens at $3 each (see the list above).
How much are the pumpkins?
$1 a pound, or $40 for as many as you can carry. Every child gets a free mini pumpkin. You can borrow a wheelbarrow or pull wagon for the patch at no charge.
What if it rains?
The festival says that if it’s raining, or has rained, it may close. Your ticket is valid on any open day, so if they close you can come back another day.
Can we bring food, a stroller or the dog?
Small coolers, chairs, strollers, wagons and carts are allowed. Dogs are not, and there’s no smoking and no outside alcohol (beer and wine are sold inside). Food trucks sell corn dogs, tacos, burgers, pizza, funnel cakes and more; the 2026 vendor list hasn’t been published yet.
Is it good for a school trip?
Only on Friday 30 October, the one field-trip day this year: $13 per student, free for staff, with a colouring sheet and mini pumpkin for each student. Book through the festival’s field trip page.
Want a free patch instead?
Two free pumpkin patches in the Austin area, both checked for 2026:
- King of Kings Lutheran Church Pumpkin Patch — Free, in Round Rock, 11–31 October.
- Hill Country Pumpkins — Free, on US-290 West in Austin, open daily to 31 October, with free bounce houses.

The full listing
How these were checked
Each listing was built from the farm's own website, calendar and ticket pages, then confirmed by email where those pages disagreed with one another. The date of that check sits on every listing above.
Everything here comes from the festival’s own pages (home, attractions, food, field trips and its 2026 press release) and its ticket page. The attractions page gives axe throwing as “4 tokens or $1”, which can’t both be right, so this page quotes it as written. The festival publishes no phone number for visitors.
