Austin pumpkin patch questions

What’s the best pumpkin patch in Austin?

It depends what you want. For the biggest day out, Texas Pumpkin Fest in Leander calls itself the Austin area’s largest pumpkin patch. For farm animals and space to run, try Indian Springs Ranch in Manchaca or Uhland Fall Fest. For a corn maze, pig races and fireworks, Sweet Eats in Georgetown is the big one. For free, go to Hill Country Pumpkins on US-290 or King of Kings in Round Rock. For something after dark, Pumpkin Nights at Pioneer Farms is a lit pumpkin show rather than a patch.

Which Austin pumpkin festival is on in 2026?

Four: Texas Pumpkin Fest in Leander (10 Oct – 1 Nov, $15; our guide has what the ticket covers), Round Rock Pumpkin Festival in Old Settlers Park (2–31 Oct, Fri–Mon), Uhland Fall Fest (weekends 26 Sep – 1 Nov, $20) and Indian Springs Ranch Fall Fest in Manchaca (26 Sep – 1 Nov, $12–17). Round Rock’s is $12 and free for seniors, veterans, teachers and first responders. Sweet Eats in Georgetown runs its Fall Fest from 19 September to 8 November.

Is there a free pumpkin patch near Austin?

Yes. Hill Country Pumpkins in Austin and King of Kings Lutheran Church in Round Rock are free to walk in, and so is Bethany United Methodist on Anderson Mill Road, with free games all October. Sweet Berry Farm in Marble Falls charges no entry or parking fee: you pay only for the activities you choose. Sweet Eats’ pumpkin patch is free every day in September and on weekdays in October. Tarrytown, Saint John’s and South Austin Church don’t list any entry fee either. They’re all on our free pumpkin patch Austin page. We also keep free lists for Houston and Dallas.

Where are the pumpkin farms around Austin?

The Austin area’s pumpkin farms and ranches are on the edges of the city: Indian Springs Ranch to the south in Manchaca, Uhland beyond Kyle, and Sweet Eats in Georgetown to the north, and Sweet Berry Farm is an hour west in Marble Falls. Inside Austin, Hill Country Pumpkins is a roadside patch and Pioneer Farms hosts Pumpkin Nights.

Can I bring my dog?

Round Rock Pumpkin Festival welcomes dogs on a lead. Texas Pumpkin Fest, Uhland Fall Fest, Indian Springs Ranch and Sweet Berry Farm don’t allow pets. Bethany (4 Oct) and Tarrytown (18 Oct) hold a Blessing of the Animals where dogs are welcome. Hill Country Pumpkins, King of Kings, Sweet Eats and Pumpkin Nights don’t say, so ask before you bring one. Near San Antonio, Universal City Pumpkin Patch welcomes well-behaved pets every day. Heading to Houston? Our dog-friendly pumpkin patches near Houston page lists every farm’s dog rule there, and in Fort Worth Clark Gardens welcomes dogs on a lead.

How these were checked

Each listing was built from the farm's own website, calendar and ticket pages, then checked by email where something was missing. The date of that check sits on every listing above.

All were checked on their own websites on 25 and 26 September; Indian Springs Ranch, Round Rock Pumpkin Festival and Sweet Berry Farm also answered our questions by email. Sweet Eats prices its adventure-farm tickets by date, so we show the free pumpkin-patch entry and its rules rather than one ticket price. Pumpkin Nights is an after-dark display rather than a pick-your-own patch.
