Lubbock pumpkin patch questions
What’s the best pumpkin patch in Lubbock?
For a full afternoon, At’l Do Farms has a corn maze, a hayride out to the pumpkin patch, a cow train and a barnyard, and most people stay two to four hours. For small children on a budget, Old MacDonald’s Farm is $8 with pony rides, train rides and a mini pumpkin included. For something free, Malta Farms costs nothing to visit, and the Pumpkin Trail at Clapp Park is a lit trail of carved pumpkins.
How much is the Lubbock corn maze?
At At’l Do Farms it’s $10 Tuesday to Thursday and $15 Friday to Sunday ($13 online), with children 4 and under free. Pumpkins are 50 cents a pound. The maze takes 45 minutes to an hour, with an exit halfway.
What time is the Lubbock Pumpkin Trail open?
The city told us its 2026 hours on 5 October: Thursday 15 October 5–9pm, Friday 16 and Saturday 17 October 9am–10pm, and Sunday 18 October 9am–9pm. There’s no set time for lighting the jack-o’-lanterns: they go on once it gets dark, which in mid-October in Lubbock is from about 7.30pm. Friday and Saturday are the two nights that run to 10pm.
Is there a free pumpkin patch in Lubbock?
Yes. Malta Farms on Quaker Avenue is free to visit, every day from 26 September to 30 October, 10am till dark, with pumpkins from $1. The city’s Pumpkin Trail at Clapp Park, 15–18 October, is free too: a display of carved pumpkins rather than a patch. If you’re travelling, we keep free lists for San Antonio, Dallas, Austin and Houston.
Can I bring my dog?
Not to At’l Do Farms, which bans dogs around its farm animals, or Old MacDonald’s, which allows service dogs only. Malta Farms doesn’t say, so ask first. Elsewhere in Texas, Universal City near San Antonio welcomes pets every day, and our dog-friendly pumpkin patches page lists the rest.
