Before you go
When is Live Oak Canyon open in 2026?
From 17 September to 2 November 2026. It's closed on 21–23 and 28–30 September, and on 5, 6, 13 and 19 October. It opens at 4pm on weekdays and 10am at weekends, and closes at 9pm, or 10pm on Fridays and Saturdays. The u-pick fields and the tractor hay ride close at sunset, and the corn maze stops letting people in an hour before closing.
How much is admission?
On a weekday, $10 for children aged 3 to 10 and $15 for anyone 11 to 64. At the peak October weekends it's $15 and $20 before 2pm, then $20 and $25 after 2pm. Children 2 and under are always free, and seniors 65 and over and active military get $2 off - the military discount covers up to four tickets per ID. Tickets are sold at the front entrance only, and there are no refunds.
Which days are cheapest, or free?
The first two weeks are free: 17–20 and 24–27 September. After that, every weekday has something on it - children free on Mondays, two-for-one on Tuesdays, a free ride ticket on Wednesdays and a free petting zoo on Thursdays. First responders get in free on 7 October with ID, and on Halloween anyone in costume gets in free.
Is there a wristband for the rides?
Yes, $49 for unlimited rides and attractions, but only Monday to Friday. It doesn't cover the Pumpkin Blasters, the pony and camel rides or the fair games, and height and weight limits still apply. Everyone aged 3 and over needs their own. Otherwise rides cost 3 to 9 tickets each, loaded onto an electronic Farm Card - and unused credit still works in the Christmas season.
What does admission include?
The corn maze, the hayride, the entrance to the u-pick pumpkin field, the pig racers, the Singing Chicken and Banjo Boys shows, the Bubble Barn, the corn box, the play-nets and ropes course, Western Town and the photo spots. The pumpkins themselves are priced separately, and everything mechanical or inflatable costs tickets.
How much is parking?
Free on weekdays and $20 at weekends. It's first come, first served, with three overflow car parks and a shuttle every half hour.
Can you pay by card?
Only with a chip card or Apple Pay. In the farm's own words, they do not accept magnetic strip swipe cards. There are ATMs at the main entrance.
Can you bring food, or a dog?
No to both. Outside food, snacks and drinks aren't allowed and coolers are turned away, and dogs aren't allowed at all - service dogs only. There's no smoking or vaping anywhere on the farm.
Is it accessible?
The farm says it is “not fully ADA compliant” and is working towards it. The ground is farm ground, and parking can mean a shuttle ride from an overflow lot.
What happens if it rains?
Nothing is refunded. The farm states plainly that it doesn't issue refunds or rain checks for rain, and that all sales are final.
Is the haunted maze included?
No. The Hollow Haunted Maze runs from 2 to 31 October on Fridays, Saturdays, Sundays and some weeknights, from 7pm, and is bought separately at the gate with cash or card. There are no advance tickets.
Does it do Christmas trees?
Yes - the same farm becomes a Christmas tree farm with a holiday train to Santa once the pumpkin season ends, and unused Farm Card credit carries over. We haven't checked those dates yet.
The full listing
How these were checked
Each listing was built from the farm's own website, calendar and ticket pages, then confirmed by email where those pages disagreed with one another. The date of that check sits on every listing above.
Everything here comes from the farm’s own pages - its admission calendar, pumpkin season, rides, FAQ and specials pages - and from thehollow.liveoakcanyon.com, read on 24 September 2026. The farm publishes its prices as pictures of a calendar, which is why almost nobody quotes them; this page reads them off day by day. Two things the farm’s own pages disagree on: the specials page advertises Locals Day on Wednesday 30 September, while the calendar shows the farm closed that day; and the Halloween poster says 31 October closes at 9pm, while the calendar says 10pm. Call before you rely on either. This is our first listing outside Texas; the rest of the site covers the Houston and Dallas–Fort Worth areas.

The rest of PickingHours
Every listing here is checked with the farm before the season starts, and a date is put on it. So far that covers the Houston area (18 farms) and Grapevine, in Dallas–Fort Worth. California starts here.
